- The primary responsibility for complying with the Building Regulations lies with the person carrying out the work (you, or your firm). Not the client.
- The installer, qualified or not, can be fined. How much depends on how serious the non-compliance is.
- The owner or person ordering the work may also face enforcement action requiring them to alter or remove work that doesn't comply.
