Why design work sits in a periodic inspectionWhy check maximum demand on a periodic?

The notes
Exactly as they are on the site.
Because an inspector has to be able to check the designer's work. Three things on a periodic can only be judged against what the circuit was designed to do:
Is the cable still the right size for the load?
Does Zs still come in under the permitted maximum?
Does the maximum demand of the whole installation still sit inside the supply fuse?
✋The last one almost never gets rechecked. Circuits get added over the years — an extension, an outhouse, a shower — and nobody recalculates whether the DNO's fuse still covers it. That calculation belongs on the periodic.
