The three forms — and the one that is not yoursIs an EICR a certificate?

The notes
Exactly as they are on the site.
For initial verification there are three documents you complete:
| Form | When |
|---|---|
| Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) | New installation, or an addition or alteration that warrants it |
| Minor Electrical Installation Works Certificate | Work that does not include a new circuit |
| Schedules — circuit details and test results | Always, alongside the certificate |
✋The EICR is not one of them. The Electrical Installation Condition Report is a report, not a certificate, and you do not fill one in as part of initial verification. It is what you produce when you go back to an installation after some years.
✋And your signature is not optional. It goes at the bottom and it cannot be left blank. Do not simply trust what the installer did before you — go through it and satisfy yourself it complies, because your name is the one on it.
