The low resistance ohmmeter, and nulling your leadsYour leads read 0.15 ohms. Does it matter?

The notes
Exactly as they are on the site.
The book is specific: a low-resistance ohmmeter. On a multifunction tester that’s the continuity setting — it may be called RLOW, or something else, depending on the maker.
Before anything, put the probes together and press test. Whatever it reads — say 0.15 Ω — is the resistance of your leads, and it would sit inside every reading you take.
- If the meter has a null (zero) function, use it. Touch the probes together again: you want 0.00, and 0.01 is nothing to lose sleep over.
- If it doesn’t, note the lead reading and subtract it from every result.
