Filling in and signing the certificate

The Electrical Installation Certificate carries the schedule of inspections and the schedule of test results, and the final circuits are entered one row per circuit.

✋Signatures and dates. The closing point. A certificate without the signatures and dates completed is not a certificate.

The exam, and the practical assessment

Initial Verification is assessed by a written paper and a practical assessment — you will be asked to carry out the tests, not just describe them.

✋No written notes. Worth repeating: the exams are open book, but you cannot bring written notes and you cannot write in your books. Highlighting, underlining and tabs only.

Test yourself on it

The tests are in the members’ area. Get one wrong and it shows you why, and where to revise.
