It's tempting to "do some revision" by doing a mock paper. Mock questions are fine, but they're there to test your knowledge, not to learn from.
- Mock questions don't teach you the subject. They teach you the answer to one random question, which could be asked a dozen different ways.
- They are not a direct copy of the exam. Each is one example of how a question can be asked, with four multiple-choice answers. Relying on them is a stab in the dark.
- The page-layout method is what teaches you the subject. When you know the subject, exam questions just come: you answer, you move on.
- So do mocks by all means, but use them to prove and test your knowledge. That's all.
