Most people cope with the arithmetic. What trips them up is knowing which calculation to use, and when. That's what this masterclass is for.
- An installer doesn't really use calculations. They follow the design they've been given and trust the designer. If they start changing it and re-checking it, they've moved into design.
- A designer uses the calculations to prove the circuit will work, first in normal use and then in a fault.
- An inspector uses some of the same calculations to check that what was installed matches the design. So several calculations turn up on both sides.
