During the café periodic you find a fused spur with a cracked faceplate, and the live terminals can be touched through the crack. Which code?
- aC3
- bC2
- cC1
- dFI
Answer c (C1). Live parts that can be touched mean danger is present right now. Nothing else has to happen for someone to get hurt. GN3 isn't great on codes overall, but Table 3.5 says it.
| Code | Meaning |
|---|---|
| C1 | Danger present. Immediate remedial action needed. |
| C2 | Potentially dangerous. Urgent remedial action needed. |
| C3 | Improvement recommended |
| FI | Further investigation is advised |
