Blank, N/A or None? Finishing the scheduleCan you leave a box empty?
Free from the notes: Sparky’s video on it, the section word for word as members see it, and a PDF to keep.
The question at the end: Can you leave a box empty? The answer is in the notes below.
The notes
Exactly as they are on the site.
On these notes: don’t leave a box empty once the job is finished. Write N/A where it doesn’t apply (a water bond where there’s no metal water pipe, say), and None where the answer is “there aren’t any” (departures). An empty box can be read as “forgot”. N/A shows you looked. Some electricians leave boxes blank by habit. Don’t pick that up.
Keep a copy of everything you issue. The paperwork is the only evidence you were there, what you found, and what you did.
